Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmologists and optometrists in delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. This role involves initial testing using optical equipment to prepare patients for exams and to assist the clinician.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer-facing experience, familiarity with medical office procedures, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. On-site work with possible travel to other locations is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with patients or customers.
• Experience in a medical office, ophthalmic preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and verification of identity to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and provide medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Practice urgency to respect patient and doctor schedules.
• Operate lensometers, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT.
• Follow testing scripts for photos and visual activities.
• Clean examination equipment including tonometer tips.
• Interact professionally with all staff.
• Assist with general office duties and cleaning.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
• Adhere to working hours, including potential weekends or schedule changes.
