The Role

A Visionworks Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant is the face of our Exam Practice, dedicated to ensuring a positive patient journey. This role involves knowledge of eye health, preliminary testing, optics, products/services, and managed vision care. The CS guides patients through the initial steps of their experience, ensuring their eye exam needs are met with professionalism and warmth.

• Maintain accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patients to the OD and share important patient information.
• Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, providing staff with necessary information to recommend suitable products and services.
• Support daily operational activities such as restocking, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; related experience is a plus.
