Job summary

The Eye Doctors in Salina, KS is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts under the direction of optometrists and ophthalmologists. You will help patients select frames, take measurements, and ensure accurate lens fittings to support both medical and retail aspects of care.

This full-time role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with insurance processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in the E360 system.
• Maintain organized, fully stocked, clean work areas and ensure inventory accuracy.
