EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician (Optician) in Saint Peters, MO. You will dispense glasses/contacts and assist with frame selection, guided by optometrist prescriptions, while delivering a superior patient experience.

Responsibilities include operating lensometry equipment, taking precise measurements, and recommending lenses and coatings to fit patient needs. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and HIPAA compliance in a busy practice setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous ophthalmic experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer/patient interaction experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Determine patients' needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Take measurements: bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense orders and repair frames.
• Maintain inventory and keep areas organized.
• Follow office policies and refer other duties as needed.
