Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Chesterfield, MO is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts under physician prescriptions. You will help patients select frames, measure and verify lens prescriptions, and contribute to our Total Patient Experience.

Requires strong communication, ability to read insurance forms, HIPAA compliance, and ABO/ABOC/NCLE preferred. We offer full benefits, 401k, PTO and paid maternity leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year in positions interacting with customers/patients or equivalent.
• Previous ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• HIPAA compliance expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients.
• Identify patient needs and suggest products to meet expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames by style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Accurately collect measurements such as bridge size, eye size, and PD.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders in the system.
• Keep work area clean and inventory accurate.
• Support other office duties as needed.
