Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician (Optician) in Wildwood, MO to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. You will connect patient needs to products and services offered, supporting a world-class Total Patient Experience.

The role involves assisting with frame selection, measurements, lens recommendations, and operating optical equipment. Prior ophthalmic experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient facing role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and build relationships.
• Determine patients' wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, lens coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders in E360.
• Maintain frame standards with cleaning and organization of fully stocked and well-presented areas.
