Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Saint Peters, MO is seeking an Optical Technician (Optician) to dispense glasses and contact lens orders based on prescriptions from Optometrists/Ophthalmologists. You will assist patients in selecting frames, measure facial features, and ensure accurate lens fitting.

The role emphasizes delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience, working with various lenses and coatings, and maintaining high standards in a busy retail-optical environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders in E360.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Maintain frame standards with cleaning and organization of stocked areas.
