Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Eureka, MO is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on physician prescriptions. You will assist patients with frame selection, measurements, and lens options, while supporting the medical team in providing a world-class patient experience.

The position emphasizes accurate measurements, sales, and friendly patient interaction in a busy optical clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Ability to read and interpret insurance forms.
• HIPAA compliance required.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and deliver Total Patient Experience while providing medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinating prescription details.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames.
• Dispense glasses/contacts and process orders in E360.
• Maintain clean, organized, well-stocked work areas.
• Perform general office duties and assist with other tasks as needed.
