Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Valley Park, MO is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts under physician prescriptions. You will contribute to a world-class Total Patient Experience while supporting the patients’ medical needs.

You will help customers select frames, operate lensometers, and ensure accurate measurements, prescriptions, and inventories. Experience in a medical-office or optical setting is preferred; ABO/ABOC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read insurance forms and interpret safety rules.
• HIPAA compliance required; background check required by state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding Total Patient Experience and assist with frame selection.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Dispense glasses and contacts; verify prescriptions.
• Maintain inventory and accurate records.
