Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Ballwin, Missouri, is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense glasses and contacts, work from physicians' prescriptions, and deliver a world-class patient experience in a retail ophthalmic setting.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy, and knowledge of lenses and frame selection; ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications are preferred but not required, with HIPAA compliance and background checks part of the process.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills plus ability to read and interpret forms.
• Experience in a medical office and ophthalmic settings is preferred.
• Customer interaction experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Determine patient needs and sell to meet expectations.
• Assist with selecting frames based on style and measurements.
• Operate lensometry equipment and dispense glasses/contacts.
• Maintain inventory and ensure policy compliance.
