Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Ellisville, MO seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, supporting doctors' prescriptions and patient care. You will guide patients in selecting frames, measure and verify lenses, operate lensometers, and maintain accurate records and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships and provide strong medical support.
• Assist patients in frame selection matching style, color, measurements, and prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer; educate on lenses, coatings and frames.
• Accurately collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt).
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames; manage glasses and contact lens orders in E360.
• Maintain inventory, ensure policy compliance and keep work area organized.
