Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Ballwin, MO seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts according to ophthalmic prescriptions. You will work closely with optometrists and ophthalmologists to meet patient needs and maximize the Total Patient Experience.

The role requires strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and basic office tech skills; prior ophthalmic or medical office experience is preferred, with benefits and stable hours provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class Total Patient Experience while delivering medical support.
• Determine patient needs and effectively assist in selecting eyewear.
• Assist with frame selection, measurements, and prescription fitting.
• Operate lensometry devices and dispense glasses/contacts per orders.
• Keep inventory, maintain clean, organized work areas and follow policies.
