Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Ballwin, MO seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from doctors’ prescriptions, delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. You’ll connect patients’ needs to our products and services, supporting both retail and medical aspects.

You will assist customers with frame selections, operate lensometry equipment, and educate on lenses and coatings. Prior ophthalmic experience is a plus, and HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients and provide medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames by style, color, and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer to verify prescriptions.
