Job summary

Clarkson Eyecare in Ballwin, MO is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on ophthalmic prescriptions. This role supports the patient’s medical needs while maximizing retail opportunities, working from the optometrist’s prescriptions to connect patient needs with our goods and services.

Responsibilities include measuring, recommending lenses and frames, operating the auto-lensometer, and maintaining accurate orders and inventory within a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Strong communication and patient-relations skills.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and safety guidelines.
• HIPAA compliance and respectful handling of PHI.

Responsibilities

• Dispense glasses and contacts based on prescriptions.
• Operate lensometry equipment and take precise measurements.
• Assist patients in frame selection and fit.
• Maintain accurate patient records and orders in the system.
• Ensure inventory and store presentation are up to standard.
