Clarkson Eyecare in Breese, IL seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses/contacts, guided by Ophthalmologists and Optometrists. You will connect patient needs to our products and services, driving a world-class Total Patient Experience while supporting retail sales.

The role requires strong patient interaction, accuracy in measurements, and familiarity with eyewear products. Benefits include medical/vision/dental, 401k, PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients.
• Determine patients' wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, pupillary distance.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust patient frames.
• Maintain inventory and keep areas clean and organized.
• Perform general office duties and other tasks as needed.
