Job summary

Warby Parker in Austin, TX seeks an Optical Supervisor to lead our in-house optical team. You’ll rely on your licensing, product expertise, and friendly demeanor to create outstanding customer experiences while upholding Warby Parker standards.

As a keyholder and leader, you’ll mentor opticians and retail advisors, manage store operations, and ensure accurate measurements, eyewear fitting, and quality checks. A strong communicator with 2+ years supervising optics is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician with active license in applicable states.
• ABO-certified or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in optics or retail.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical duties: take measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure accuracy.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Maintain store operations, inventory databases, and Warby Parker standards.
• Mentor and supervise the Optical team, including Apprentice program participants.
• Open/close responsibilities as a keyholder and foster a productive environment.
