Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Eyeglass Manager for a Smyrna, GA location. You will oversee the eyeglass department, drive sales and profits, and lead a team of opticians and sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service.

The role emphasizes coaching, staff development, and adherence to company policies while coordinating with store leadership. A focus on daily operations, promotions, and accurate reporting supports overall store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical retail sales and supervision
• Ability to lead, coach and build relationships with staff
• Strong communication to manage teams and store operations
• Excellent organizational skills for planning and tracking goals
• Ability to analyze and understand financial reports and P&L items
• Proven problem solving across varied store duties

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (e.g. review P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and set expectations for associates.
• Review quality and remakes; enforce store policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide reports.
• Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising awareness across staff and doctors.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates; manage day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with staffing forecasts, recruiting, and retention of qualified staff.
• Motivate staff to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary by state law and credential requirements.
