Job summary

Eyeglass World, Inc. is seeking an Optical Specialist to join our in-store team. This customer-facing role delivers the brand experience with confident service, attention to detail, and precise finishing from pre-exam support to pickup.

The position emphasizes eyewear readiness, quality checks, and a seamless customer journey. A High School Diploma and 1+ year in optical/retail are required; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service required.
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills required.
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively required.
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
