Job summary

Eyeglass World, Inc. is seeking an Optical Specialist to deliver a confident, customer-focused in-store experience. You’ll support pre-exam activities, ensure eyewear readiness, assist with selection and final fitting, and deliver polished handoffs aligned with the brand.

You’ll help manage patient flow, coordinate transitions from exam to pickup, and keep finish and retail areas organized. A high school diploma and 1+ year in optical, retail, or customer service are required; bilingual

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service required.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills required.
• Clear communication and ability to educate customers effectively.
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction.
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience.
