Job summary

Eyeglass World in Ocala, FL is seeking an Optical Specialist to join our in-store team. This customer-facing role focuses on confident service, eyewear selection, final fitting, and polished handoffs to ensure a seamless, brand-aligned experience.

You will support pre-exam flow, assist with orders and finish work, maintain organized spaces, and help deliver high-quality customer experiences while upholding store standards and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required).
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Prepare orders for pickup and ensure accurate finishes and brand-aligned handoffs.
