Job summary

Eyeglass World at National Vision is seeking an Optical Specialist to be the customer-facing heart of the in-store experience. You will guide eyewear choices, ensure precise fittings, and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoffs to customers.

You will support pre-exam activities, finish work, and pickup processes, maintaining high standards of service and presentation. Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with at least 1 year in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists and smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections, and quality checks to meet Eyeglass World standards.
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion; maintain organized finish and retail areas.
• Model service standards, uphold brand presentation, and collaborate with the store team to deliver a consistent experience.
