Job summary

Eyeglass World, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optical Specialist to enhance the in-store experience with confident service, attention to detail, and ownership of the final moments from pre-exam support to eyewear readiness, fitting, and pickup.

The role blends customer connection, optical support, and finishing excellence to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences. Ideal candidates will guide customers through eyewear selection and ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service is required.
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills are required.
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively is required.
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction is required.
• Support store team in shared goals is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoff.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
