Job summary

Eyeglass World, a part of National Vision, is seeking an Optical Specialist to join our in-store team. This role brings the brand to life through confident service, attention to detail, and ownership of final moments—from pre-exam support to eyewear readiness, fitting, and pickup.

With a focus on finishing excellence and customer experience, you will assist with patient flow, ensure smooth transitions between stages, and deliver polished handoffs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required)
• Willingness to learn and follow brand standards

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit
• Assist customers with eyewear selection, fitting, and education
• Ensure customers leave confident in eyewear and experience
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks
• Ensure eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively
• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience
