Job summary

Eyeglass World, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optical Specialist to support the in-store experience. You will assist customers with eyewear selection, perform finishing, and ensure a seamless handoff from fitting to pickup.

This role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and brand standards, with an expectation of clear communication and the ability to educate customers. Prior optical or retail experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills required.
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers.
• Prioritize customer satisfaction in every interaction.
• Support store team in shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and education.
• Ensure customers leave confident in eyewear and experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Support smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoff.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards and brand presentation.
