Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience, dispensing glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists. You will connect patient needs to available goods and services while upholding quality standards.

The role emphasizes patient care, accurate measurements, and collaboration with a medical team to support both retail and clinical aspects of eye care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Current ABO/ABOC certifications (or obtained within 2 years) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret insurance forms.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Determine patients' wants and needs and sell to exceed their expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders in E360.
• Maintain frame inventory and keep the area clean.
• Follow all office protocols and assist with other duties as needed.
