Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, Inc., seeks a General Manager to lead a busy optical store and drive sales, service, and profitability. You will manage day-to-day operations, coach a team, and partner with the Doctor to ensure exemplary patient care.

You’ll be responsible for hiring, scheduling, budgeting, merchandising, and reporting, while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail management experience.
• Knowledge of the optical industry preferred.
• ABO & NCLE certification is required or preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily store operations, including staffing, inventory management, bookkeeping, planning, and enforcing policies.
• Lead, train, and develop associates through coaching and feedback.
• Monitor store performance and drive customer and patient experiences from start to finish.
• Partner with the Doctor to ensure high levels of patient care.
• Conduct store audits and uphold quality, merchandising, and service standards.
• Maintain communication with the District Manager and provide accurate reporting.
• Ensure the store and facility meet corporate and safety standards.
• Execute marketing, merchandising, and promotional initiatives per brand standards.
• Manage budgets, supplies, and inventory to meet financial goals.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top talent and create schedules based on business needs.
