Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Practice Manager to inspire and develop the team, deliver exceptional patient care, and drive meaningful business results. You will be the primary on-site leader, creating a patient-centered, high-performing practice while aligning staff to service standards and provider needs.

You will partner with the Optometrist and District leadership to optimize exam flow, staffing, and technology adoption, guiding the practice through evolving systems and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years leadership in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Business, hospitality, or healthcare management education preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Eyecare or optical practice leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Ability to guide teams across multiple practice functions and levels.
• Strong communication, coaching, observation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to analyze reports, trends, and performance data.
• Ability to connect business results to patient care and operations.
• Ability to learn software quickly and support adoption of practice technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, labor planning, and service execution.
• Serve as the primary on-site floor leader, aligning team priorities with patient needs.
• Establish clear expectations for staff and ensure understanding of priorities and standards.
• Partner with the Optometrist to support exam flow and evolving service offerings.
• Lead, coach, develop, recognize, and hold staff accountable for performance and patient care.
• Support new hire development, training, and technology updates.
• Reinforce exceptional patient service behaviors and timely follow-up.
• Monitor patient feedback and performance trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Review results to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities; collaborate with District Manager on goals.
• Communicate key priorities to the team and connect results to behaviors and execution.
• Learn and adapt to practice systems, reporting tools, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Ensure compliance, asset protection, and adherence to policies and standards.
