Job summary

Now Optics in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Lab Technician to support the production of customized eyewear and ensure timely delivery for Now Service, 24-Hour, and Special Order jobs.

The role requires at least 1 year of lab experience, strong organization, and a proactive mindset. You will maintain lab equipment, perform basic housekeeping, and collaborate with retail teams to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with established laboratory procedures/equipment operation.
• Result-oriented with a track record of delivering results and accountability.
• Meticulous organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Interest in learning, embracing and fostering innovation among your team.

Responsibilities

• Obtains job orders from sales team and clarifies all requests to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains a steady workflow to coincide with delivery time commitments to patients (Now Service, Ready When Promised).
• Notifies the leader on duty of equipment malfunctions, incomplete orders, incorrect lenses, etc.
• Provides maintenance and calibration to lab equipment.
• Ensure brand standards by performing basic housekeeping duties when necessary
• Complete cross-training with retail and customer service
• Other duties as assigned and required
