Job summary

Eyemart Express is seeking an Optical Lab Technician to cut, edge and create prescription lenses for timely delivery. Training is available; prior lab or optical experience helps but isn’t required. You will focus on accuracy, safety and meeting hourly deadlines in a fast-paced retail lab.

Responsibilities include handling optical lab equipment, interpreting prescriptions, maintaining the lab and supporting multiple stations to sustain efficient workflows and quality products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a lab or technical setting preferred.
• Experience in the optical industry preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow technical manuals and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lab Work: identify and work with optical lab equipment, tools, supplies and materials; meet hourly deadlines.
• Prescription Management: read and interpret prescriptions; input into computer to ensure lenses are cut properly.
• Maintenance: maintain lab area and equipment; perform scheduled maintenance per manual specs.
• Operational Excellence: manage multiple tasks at different stations; complete reporting forms on time.
