Job summary

Walman Optical, a division of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an Associate Technician in Toledo, OH to join the lab team and handle set-up, operation, and basic maintenance of production equipment in surface or finish areas.

Responsibilities include interpreting Rx work tickets, performing calibration, assisting training, and maintaining clean, safe work areas while supporting colleagues to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain equipment in area of lab production.
• Interpret Rx work tickets and perform production operations as procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and advise supervisor on remedies.
• Prepare solutions/slurries and manage supplies for lens production when applicable.
• Keep work areas neat and safe; follow policies and attend training as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
