Job summary

Walman Optical in Kent, WA seeks a Production Technician to set up, operate, and maintain equipment in the lab’s surface or finish areas. You will perform Lensometer inspections and translate Rx requirements into finished products, while supporting calibration, inventory, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of laboratory work experience.
• Ability to multi-task, detail-oriented and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and good vision (color vision).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain lab equipment in surface or finish portions of production.
• Use Lensometer for lens inspection and basic lens power requirements.
• Interpret Rx requirements and translate into finished product.
• Assist supervisor in maintaining shop supply inventories and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot production problems and advise on remedies; maintain safety and cleanliness.
