Job summary

Walman Optical in Duluth, MN is seeking a full-time Associate Technician to support the set‑up, operation and basic maintenance of lab equipment used in surface or finish portions of lens production.

You will interpret Rx work tickets, perform production operations, calibrations and routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and train less experienced staff while adhering to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment in the lab.
• Interpret Rx work tickets and perform designated production tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and advise supervisor on remedies.
• Train less experienced staff and maintain clean work areas.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
