Qualifications

• Typically 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and be available for calls.
• Excellent written communication skills to document patient visits.
• Strong interpersonal and rapport-building abilities.
• Ability to ask appropriate questions to identify patient needs.
• Ability to listen, process transactions and interact with patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and explain the process and exam pricing clearly.
• Check-in and pretest patients efficiently and accurately.
• Verify insurance prior to Doctor encounter.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Assist in other areas of the office, including dispensing eyewear.
• Be a center of excellence for others, delivering patient satisfaction from first contact.
• Handle eyewear adjustments or fittings carefully and precisely.
• Inform Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients.
• Perform tasks assigned by Office Manager.
