Medical Eyeglass Center in Pinellas Park is seeking a patient-focused Optical Associate to help patients select and fit eyewear, perform adjustments, and deliver a friendly, professional experience inside our clinical office.

You will process orders, verify prescriptions, manage insurance claims, track lab work, and maintain organized records while collaborating with providers and staff to ensure quality vision care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Reading spectacles prescriptions and patient eyewear needs.
• Experience with optical lab processes and lens types preferred.
• Familiarity with insurance eligibility checks and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments.
• Process and complete orders through POS systems.
• Maintain records of prescriptions, orders, payments, and insurance claims.
• Review lab orders and ensure timely completion.
• Dispense eyewear and contact lenses where applicable.
• Assist with eyewear repairs, cleaning, and inventory.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to ensure quality care.
