Qualifications

• Some experience & knowledge working as a Dispensing Optician.
• Available and willing to travel to various clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with selection of eyewear and fit glasses to the patient.
• Interview patient to determine visual needs.
• Interpret refractionist's prescription and instruct patient on eyeglass care.
• Enter prescription and sales information into computerized system; perform clerical tasks.
• Verify optical benefit coverage and experience with billing vision plans (VSP, Eyemed, etc.).
• Dispense and adjust optical products; inspect final product for prescription accuracy.
• Reconcile patient concerns; perform dispensing functions per professional standards.
• Maintain communication with lab; conduct daily inventory of frames and accessories.
• Repairs may be performed; complete eyeglasses for final delivery; assist on the floor.
• Carry out other related duties as needed; ensure compliance with policies.
