Job summary

You will assess visual needs, process prescriptions, and verify insurance coverage, delivering precise eyewear while maintaining equipment and inventory. You will work with a team, uphold standards, and provide patient education on eyeglass care and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dispensing Optician.
• Willing to travel to various clinic locations.
• Experience with billing vision benefit plans (VSP, Eyemed, Superior Vision, March Vision, Envolve).

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with eyewear selection and take facial measurements to properly fit glasses.
• Interview patient to determine visual needs and interpret prescription details.
• Input prescriptions and sales information into the computerized system and perform clerical duties.
• Verify Optical Benefit coverage and assist with billing of vision plans.
• Dispense and adjust optical products, inspect accuracy per prescription requirements.
• Maintain inventory of frames and accessories; repair frames as required.
