Job summary

Molex's Datacom team in Fremont is seeking a Field Applications Engineer to lead technical engagements enabling design-in and deployment of optical connectivity solutions at a key datacom customer in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You will build strong relationships with customer engineering, drive design wins, and deliver innovative solutions across rack, row and pod-level datacenter topologies, with emphasis on performance, density, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or physics field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in electronics, data center, or optical connectivity.
• Proven experience interfacing with customers in a technical role.
• Strong understanding of hyperscale datacenter architecture and optical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Drive design wins and build a Salesforce pipeline for growth.
• Establish strategic technical relationships with engineering and deployment stakeholders.
• Deliver application solutions using Molex optical products.
• Support deployment of optical connectivity in datacenter topologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve optical connectivity challenges.
• Define and optimize optical infrastructure components for data centers.
