Job summary

AEG Vision in Canby, Oregon is seeking an Optical Consultant to support Optometrists and deliver exceptional patient care. You will perform preliminary evaluations, manage patient communications, and help with scheduling and documentation.

This full-time role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. JOIN a collaborative team with growth opportunities and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Schedule referrals and coordinate with Ophthalmologists as needed.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• Perform diagnostic testing with equipment such as OCT and visual field.
• Document findings in EHR and assist with medical documentation.
• Ensure schedule utilization via confirmations and recalls.
• Assist with contact lens insertion/removal classes and inventory.
• Clerical duties and end-of-day tasks to wrap up the practice.
