Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field with 5+ years of optical engineering experience.
• Experience with optical component qualification and reliability testing.
• Ability to interpret optical specifications, drawings, datasheets and qualification documents.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Engineering and Supplier Quality to ensure manufacturability.
• Own component engineering activities including selection, qualification, lifecycle management and changes.
• Review optical BOMs for performance, reliability and obsolescence; assess supply risks.
• Identify alternate components and suppliers with Supply Chain.
• Lead qualification plans and testing across optical, mechanical, environmental and reliability domains.
• Review supplier PCNs, process/material changes, and site transfers.
