Lumentum is seeking a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer for Optical Transceiver Products in San Jose. You will own the supplier quality strategy across the product lifecycle, drive supplier qualification, audits, and readiness for NPI, ramp, and sustaining production.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in supplier/quality roles, deep knowledge of optical transceivers and high-speed electronics, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams across global suppliers.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or related quality roles in high-technology manufacturing.
Technical understanding of optical transceiver architecture, high-speed electronics, and optical packaging.
Experience with Silicon Photonics, Co-Packaged Optics, or photonic integration.
Experience supporting development or manufacture of optical transceiver modules or related products.
Excellent communication, organizational, project management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Prime Supplier Quality Engineer for the Transceiver product line and own the quality strategy.
Lead supplier qualification, capability assessments, audits, and readiness evaluations.
Partner with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Global Sourcing to ensure supplier readiness for NPI.
Lead supplier process qualification, FAI, validation, and production readiness activities.
Influence supplier decisions across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers.
