Lumentum is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer in Silicon Photonics - Hybrid Integration in USA/CA. You will lead development of high-volume process flows that merge unique materials to enhance Silicon photonics for cloud and AI applications.

You will collaborate with wafer fabrication and backend partners, define verification plans with test teams, and optimize performance and cost. Strong leadership and oral/written English are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics or equivalent.
• Solid background in optical physics and photonics.
• Experience with IC and photonic IC integration methods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop III-V to SiPho hybrid integration process flows.
• Collaborate with wafer fabrication and back-end partners.
• Work with test engineering to define verification plans.
• Aim for high yield in high-volume manufacturing.
• Foster cross-disciplinary communication across teams.
