Job summary

Corning seeks a Training and Curriculum Specialist to update training content and curricula for its Customer Education programs across In-Building Network, Data Center and Carrier markets. The role includes teaching, onboarding trainer development, and managing training kits to ensure up-to-date materials.

The Global Marketing, Customer Education & Programs Team drives industry-leading programs with cross-regional coordination and hands-on and virtual education offerings.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent in a technical field with 2-4 years in a technical/telecommunications environment.
• Experience with instruction or training coordination and delivery preferred.
• Desire to work with software and cloud applications preferred.
• Technical writing ability with clear presentation of concepts.

Responsibilities

• Update training content and materials per guidance from Manager, Customer Education.
• Analyze training requests to define objectives and scope aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate with SMEs and vendors to incorporate knowledge into curriculum.
• Evaluate existing training materials and update curricula as needed.
• Design methods for instructor-led and e-learning programs.
• Create course materials using instructional design methods.
• Develop and implement e-learning to complement in-person courses.
• Collaborate with engineering and marketing to tailor content for needs.
