Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Optical Associate, Non-Certified – Sam’s Club to deliver member-focused eyewear service. You will stock and merchandise the Optical area, assist with frame and lens orders, take measurements, perform basic repairs, and support OD services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• State requirements to become apprentice or licensed optician; licensure within specified timelines.
• Preferred: experience in a health care or retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain merchandising in Optical area: stock, sign, price, and manage damaged goods.
• Audit and maintain hearing aid inventory; process sales and refunds via POS.
• Educate members on eyewear usage; assist with measurements, frame adjustments, and lens orders.
• Process insurance claims for eye care materials; coordinate with labs/optometrists.
• Coordinate patient appointments and assist in pre-testing under OD supervision.
