Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. is seeking an Optical Associate in Bloomington, MN. You will assist members with eyewear purchases, measure pupillary distance, and perform frame adjustments and repairs.

You will process eyewear and contact lens orders, verify prescriptions, and help with payments and refunds while maintaining the Optical area per policy. The role involves educating members on eyewear care, supporting contact lens hygiene, and coordinating with labs and optometrists as needed.

Qualifications

• Duties require strong customer service and retail skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with members about eyewear options.
• Knowledge of insurance and payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with eyewear purchases and care, including measuring and adjusting frames.
• Process optical orders and insurance claims; handle payments, returns and exchanges at POS.
• Maintain and clean the Optical area; stock, sign and price merchandise.
• Educate members on eyewear usage, contact lens hygiene and care procedures.
