Job summary

LensCrafters in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking an Licensed Assistant Manager to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager and to drive overall sales and patient/customer experience. You will partner with doctors and a diverse team to meet KPIs, coach staff, and ensure excellent service.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year of supervisory experience, a valid Opticianry license, solid retail knowledge, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Current & valid state Opticianry license.
• 1+ year(s) management/supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Knowledge of retail operations, processes & policies.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers & calculators.
• Must have a strong command of the English language for all written correspondence & oral communication.
• Demonstrated high-level selling skills.
• Proven ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality & improvement to meet or exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Demonstrates understanding of retail business & transfer of knowledge to improve sales & results.
• Supports the store manager in diagnosing the business & leverages Retail, Lab & Doctor synergies.
• Supports store plans to maximize sales & profit; addresses opportunities for recovery.
• Leads a team with strong knowledge & skills; provides training & guidance to team members.
• Delivers clear & constructive feedback in a timely manner.
• Informs store manager of situations needing development or disciplinary action.
• Supports recruiting & creates a talent pipeline; helps staff store.
• Maintains store appearance & executes visual directives; supports policy compliance.
• Maintains safe working environment; works a flexible schedule including nights & weekends.
• Under state Opticianry license, provides lens knowledge, adjusts/repairs eyewear, presents eyewear, performs digital measurements.
