Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County is seeking an Information Systems Application Technician 2 to provide technical assistance to computer users, supporting operational technology systems used in Waste Services. The role includes troubleshooting, configuration, and user training for field staff and supervisors.
The position requires a High School Diploma with 2 years of IT customer support experience using Samsara, Routeware, or Zonar, or an Associate's Degree with 1 year of

- High School Diploma and 2 years IT customer support experience using operational technology systems such as Samsara, Routeware, Zonar, or comparable platforms.
- Associate's Degree in a related field with 1 year of IT customer support experience using operational technology systems.
Mansioni
- Provide technical support, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Waste Services OT systems (Samsara, Routeware, Zonar).
- Monitor system performance and data integrity for telematics, GPS tracking, and asset management platforms.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot mobile devices, tablets, and vehicle-mounted hardware used by field staff.
- Work with staff and vendors to diagnose and resolve system issues impacting collection operations.
- Assist with onboarding, deployment, and replacement of OT hardware and software components.
- Create and maintain documentation and user guides for OT applications.
