Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Maine to support the Safety Above All Culture and oversee day-to-day operations and a assigned staff. The role ensures safe and efficient package sortation and compliance with FedEx policies and regulations.

The supervisor may also manage administrative staff and processes. Essential functions include hiring, coaching, training, performance management, planning, and leading meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree.
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Six (6) months experience required in a fast-paced environment (retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, dock, or stock room).

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx Safety Above All Culture and related initiatives.
• Manage hiring, coaching, training, rewards, performance evaluations and staff productivity.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Lead daily meetings for workforce communication and daily goals.
• Develop and administer employee relations and safety strategies.
• Investigate or escalate customer service issues as appropriate.
• Train new employees on job duties and performance expectations and FXG policies.
