Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations and a staff to ensure safe and efficient package sortation. You will oversee hiring, coaching, training, performance management, and compliance with FXG policies. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior supervisors.

You will lead daily meetings, analyze performance data, and drive improvements while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in supervising or leading frontline teams preferred.
• Ability to hire, coach, train, and evaluate staff and manage staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and staffing to ensure safe, efficient sortation.
• Oversee hiring, terminations, coaching, training, recognition and performance management.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control daily operations for the facility.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe, efficient sortation and track/coordinate trailers.
• Analyze performance data and drive improvements to key metrics.
• Conduct daily meetings to communicate goals and updates with staff.
• Develop and implement safety strategies and train employees on FXG policies.
• Resolve customer service issues and escalate when needed.
• Mentor less-experienced supervisors and adapt to changing needs.
