Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day package sortation and staff activities in a fast-paced facility. You will champion the Safety Above All culture, hire and develop staff, and ensure adherence to FedEx policies and regulatory requirements.

You will plan and direct operations, monitor performance metrics, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining safety, quality, and service levels for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college toward a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations and assigned staff to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate performance and manage staff, including discipline and addressing employee concerns.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control daily operations; mentor and develop other Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with FedEx FXG policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; maintain safety and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve key metrics and implement action plans; communicate updates and goals to teams.
