Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Rancho Dominguez, CA location. The role supports the Operations Manager, oversees shift personnel, and strives to meet labor and operational targets while balancing financial, quality, safety, and asset metrics.

The position emphasizes cross-functional training and internal career growth, with a path from shift supervisor to operations leadership based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, with 1–3 years of maintenance operations experience; substitutions may apply.
• Sup ervisory experience preferred.
• Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required.
• Experience with a Shop Management System preferred.
• Microsoft Office intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Workflow management: plan, schedule, assign work to technicians, and track productivity.
• Labor management: provide training and development for personnel.
• Customer management: manage relationships, communicate PM scheduling and vehicle status.
• Asset management: oversee shop appearance, tooling, and parts inventory.
• Quality management: perform quality inspections and root-cause analysis; ensure safety and EPA compliance.
• Financial management: monitor maintenance costs, payroll, invoices, and bill-back opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
